Charlie Hart

Charlie Hart

Managing Director


Charlie Hart has been partnering with producers to grow profitable agribusinesses for over 30 years.


With knowledge and experience in the stock and station industry, Charlie offers expertise in cattle breeding, cattle and property sales and developing productive agribusiness practices.


As an early adopter of the plate to paddock mindset, Charlie specialises in partnering with and guiding cattle producers to access the luxury beef market by breeding Wagyu x Angus F1 cattle. He understands the intricate variables involved in developing a productive herd, and possess the skills, expertise, and local knowledge to develop high-performing animals.


Born In Narrabri, Charlie graduated from Hawkesbury Ag College and has licences in Auctioneering, Stock and Station Agency and Real Estate Agency.

He previously worked at Dalgety Winchcombe FGC, then Wesfarmers, before founding Hart Rural Agencies in 1995.


Mark Dempsey

Sales & Business Development Manager


Mark Dempsey is committed to providing tailored solutions to diversify your offerings and increase the profitability of your agribusiness. 


With years of experience in the industry, Mark understands the unique challenges in the industry and the region, and believes every business needs their own ag-tech solutions to remain competitive.


He offers expertise in livestock weighing systems, cloud software and electric and conventional fencing design. He enjoys being hands-on.

 

Mark previously held positions with Gallagher Animal Management, Commonwealth Bank, Nufarm and various livestock and farming properties throughout NT, QLD, and NSW. 


Mark is based in Manilla and finds importance in being involved in community organisations, sporting, and fundraising activities. The partnership between Hart Rural and the community go hand in hand.


Tracy Walker

Tracy Walker, a dedicated member of the Hart Rural Agencies team, has contributed her skills and expertise for more than two decades. Throughout her tenure, she has embraced diverse roles within the company.


Originally from the picturesque Lake Macquarie and Newcastle regions, Tracy alongside her husband Phil, enjoys spending time in their community with their three children. Their lives revolve around the vibrant realm of youth sports, as their kids actively engage in rugby, AFL, cricket, and swimming within the Barraba region.

Finance Manager


Tracy Kelly started at Hart Rural Agencies in 1996, and despite a few breaks to raise children, she is still going strong as the Hart team’s Administration Manager. 


When Tracy first joined Hart Rural Agencies, the business comprised of just four staff. Witnessing the remarkable growth of the business into a team of over 35 professionals across three communities, is something she is immensely proud of and, it of course, keeps her busy. 


Tracy finds the agricultural industry to be anything but dull and throughout the years she’s seen many changes in innovation and technology. From advances in agronomy and livestock nutrition to learning to fly drones to sell rural property.



With her role predominately working with numbers, Tracy finds it’s the other daily events that make her job such great fun.


Tessa Cameron

Livestock Sales


Tess first commenced with Hart Rural Agencies in 2015 with a passion and drive for Livestock. Tess is our Livestock Specialist based out of our Barraba Store. Her deep-rooted love for the livestock industry traces back to her childhood days spent shadowing her father in the saleyards. Raised in Tumut, NSW, where her family owned and managed a stock and station agency, Tess loves her role managing Hart Rural Agencies Livestock division. She enjoys working closely with key producers to ensure they reach their maximum production potential.



Tess supports a large part of New South Wales, from as far west as Walgett, Wee Waa, through Moree, Narrabri, and Gunnedah, to Inverell and Glen Innes in the north, including Guyra and Armidale, all the way down to Merriwa, Scone and the Hunter Valley.



Scott Walker

Merchandise Manager, Manilla 


Scott Walker is a dedicated Stihl technician and the Merchandise Manager at Hart Rural Agencies, Manilla Branch. 


Prior to this, he gained valuable experience as a Scale Technician at Wedderburn Scales. It was there that he embarked on his apprenticeship, and for the past decade, Scott has been stationed in Tamworth, providing service to the Northern NSW region.


Having spent a significant portion his career in the agricultural industry, Scott enjoys the opportunity to engage with the diverse responsibilities offered by his management position. When not at work, he spends quality time with family and enjoys pursuing his passion for hunting.


Chris Beard

Chris Beard

Merchandise Manager, Barraba


Fresh to the team at Hart Rural as Merchandise Manager at our Barraba branch I come from a rural background growing up in Bundarra, Northern NSW.


Prior to joining Hart, I worked for local government where insurance, risk and safety was my role. Previously I was lucky enough to have had several years in the rural merchandise industry looking after client’s needs and their farming inputs.


I call the Horton Valley home and look forward to further growing relationships throughout the Barraba and surrounding districts by providing quality products and service to new and existing clients.
